Hispy, I don't mean that way. We are all here to help each other after all not to get at each others neck. I respect your contributions here. I only advised that sometimes God can talk to us through any person. Afterall my bible said that our mouths cam make things happen. So we should not always rely on our expertise.

It is an advise subject to rejection and not really what you mean. You are a wonderful contributor in this forum and I dont mean what you think. Hope you grab. Thanks

Default Lasaco

well let me say that the E/S of 63 is not fake. If we divide about 851 Million 3rd quater result of lasaco with the actual share outstanding which is about 7billion then the E/S of lasaco will be about 13k. This is not bad judging by the way this company has consistently been growing earning post recapitalisation. I predict about 1 billion PAT for end of year.

All those apart, I have a feeling about that stock. Think and take the risk. May be we have an N8 stock here.

Any news on any stock that could perform as Japaul? How do you see Lasaco Assurance?Owned by Lagos State Government. One will say that it may go like wema bank but I have something about that stock. Can anyone tell me where it will be by the end of 2nd quarter? Is N8 too much?

Thanks

You can direct your research/attention to IPWA. It is going to be a big money maker.

You are right Chidi. There is no secret about it though as the MD Japaul was reported in the Vanguard of January 29 page 22 that information from the issuing house was that the issue was over subscribed by 500%. He however stated that a large chunk of the over subsciption would be absorbed. He also claimed that Japaul will surpass its 2008 projections by 500%. PAT for 2008 would be N6bn with a dividend of 90k as against 18k initially projected. 2008 turnover was projected at N20bn.

this is sweet music to my ears, but i hope he is'nt getting too optimistic. if we can take him by he's words it means one can do a few more units of Japaul for the medium to long haul. The share price has shed weight consistently
Since monday. if it can hit 9-10 naira as it goes down then that provides another entry point.

I'll will most certainly be impressed if they absorb just about everything! That would translate to an additional capital of over N15b, does their authorised share capital cover that?

Isn't there a SEC rule that you cannot absorb more than 25% of oversubscription?

Definitely there is a sec rule that says you can only absorb 25% of your oversubscription. So I am afraid they can not absorb everything.

The SEC rule has always been there, it was just never enforced (FBN too absorbed more than 25%). They came out mid/late last year and said they would start enforcing it. It is possible that the Japaul offer was b4 SEC came out with teh pronouncement; if it was, then maybe they'll also absorb everything.

They should please absorb all. As per the sec rule think about it, a way round is to get a very heavy check (or checks) from one friendly or friendly investment houses to help beef up the over subcription. Return most of these heavy checks and other heavy ones and allocate plenty to the masses !
This will have to be done upfront around initial collation after seeing how much people have subscribed.
