I just tried downloading it myself and it works okay. When you click the link, it should take you to a page where it tells you to type the code on screen into the box on the right and click okay.

After that you will see premium and free download, it makes you wait 45 seconds and then gives you the link for free download and away you go

I have tried to upload it directly to SMN with no joy. I can email it to you, if you send me your mail address

I have downloaded it now.
One needs a very good internet connection to complete the download for free. Thanks.

I have read through the memorandum/prospectus and I am of the opinion I might not invest unless I am convinced by someone else in the house:

The reason for this are:

i. The current trend in the market will bring lots of stockbroking firms to the market and I am not sure if this is the best to put my money. There are bigger ones which might be coming to the market soon.

ii. If you have a look at their financials, you will notice the sudden jump to over 1 billion PAT. This is good but is it sustainable or is it true?

iv. I am also worried about their ownership structure. It seems to be a company that was owned by one person with no institutional ownership planned.

v. There are other companies currently out with their private placements that I can put money in and sleep.

Comments are welcomed so that we can decide on investing or otherwise.

Valueline Securities diversifies operations, awaits $100m foreign facility
By Gbenga Agbana
VALUELINE Securities Limited, a member of Nigerian Stock Exchange has diversified its operations into real estate business.

The company's Managing Director, Mr. Sam Eyinnaya told The Guardian yesterday that the company is expecting about $100 million credit facility from a foreign financial institution to facilitate the diversification.

Eyinnaya said: "We in Valueline see it as an area that has tremendous opportunities to create wealth for our customer. Moreover, our funds to be invested in real estate business is from foreign credit facilities. We are expecting about $100 million from foreign credit facility."

Already, the company is doing a private placement to enhance its operations, according to Eyinnaya, since plans have also been concluded for the company to go into telecommunications business, microfinance, margin trade finance for customers and underwriting business.

He said the company needed about N20 billion to do all these business but disclosed that the funds would be available before the end of this year.

After the fund raising exercise, Eyinnaya said a restructured Valueline outfit under a new name would be listed by introduction on the Nigerian Stock Exchange.

Meanwhile, Eyinnaya said Unex Securities is not party to the private placement being undertaken by the company, which is being packaged by Fidelity Bank, Oceanic Bank and Afribank Capital Markets, which acts as issuing house

Members shoulod be careful with information like this. Some companies do this kind of "publicity" to boost their pp and public offers.
