Thanks. I must confess i was glad to collect my money back. I cant see stockbroking firms making a lot of money this year. Not with the kind of market we are having. Very low volumes and declining prices with very little volatility in the last few weeks. I am still exposed to BGL and Partnership. That should be enough. |

I laugh. I think people who are having difficulty getting their money back are those who paid to Valueline. I paid through Afribank Capital. Infact i was not the only one who collected a refund the day i went to collect mine.

No condition is parmanent. It is not going to be like this forever. Even within this period some broking firm are still making money It is just unfortunate that VALUELINE is not living up to its word, but in every society there is always a black sheep. |

pls wat should i do now, i bought from valueline and i went there they were trying to explain it away, aying because it is the mother coy that will be listed that's why they have to slash the par value, but that should not be, golden security who came at 50k par value will also change her name and i know they can't come at anything lower than that par value. pls advice me....

unless you wan dash the money, weather it is mother or father company they want to list does not matter. it is not all about making or loosing money but is about integrity. those people are cheats, what did you pay for N1 value. filling the share form is like entering a contract and you cannot change the goal post mid way. at best if they are sincere people they could have givng you the x2 of what you applied 4 when converting to 50k and do a reconstruction letter but their fear is that their holding will equally be halved. if they are listing the "father company" what happen to their holdings will it not the doubled so using the pp memorandum what will be the ratio of their holding to yours and after this wayo what will be the ratio. valueline directors are trickstars and doing any business with them will surely lead to huge regret. wealth in the long run will only come to you through stock if you stick to stock with credible management definately not valueine becouse valueline is valueless Last edited by pegheneji : 29th September 2008 at 07:57 AM. |

Wher did your friend get the gist from? i've not heard anything like this, if it is so i think it's ok to stay more so they may not refund you as you were the one that subscribed to the offer in the first place. so stay

They might have been forced to do so because of series of protest from subscriber. I met so many people in thier office for the same issue the day I went there. Also is like Afribank is not ready cooperate with them for the fraud that is why they refused to release the money to them. But it is not good omen at all. |

A Friend of mine that went to the Registrar to collect his money on monday last week was told to hold on as they will issue another certificate for the split later, And he accepted to wait for the other certificate. So maybe the Registrars are tired of refunding money to Agrieved investors and now want to do the right thing but I still dont trust them because all this talk about the Registrars not willing to coperate with VALUELESS SECURITIES to Swindle investors doesn't make sense. They were involved & informed about the fraudulent allotment by the company and they still went ahead to print the certificate and distribute them to investors so they cant realy say that they were not fully involved in this fraud. So I dont Trust this Registrar. Almost everyone I know that took part in this PP have collected thier full money back execpt for my Friend and few others acting like the proverbial Patient Dog waiting for the fattest bone. All I have to say is that the source of this bone is not trust worthy and I hope they prove me wrong |
