Onward PP Info Memo

L&G,
I've just learnt that Onward paper mills is doing a PP
Find attached Info Memo on the offer.
From my read thru, i feel Lead capital is trying to hedge thier investment by doing this, even asking for 20% on growth price is un heard of.
My initial reation is NO.

But, gurus in the hoouse should review and advise.
Even the offer price of N6.5 is high.

I quite agree and follow your line of reason, let's wait for the big brothers and sisters to guide us thro this, the offer price is for sure high considering that they are just strategizing to come out of the pit that they have been over the years, they want to take advantage of the fact that the market is full of funds.

It Is Really A Good Buy.i Called Lead Capital About 20% Hedger,and They Admitted It.well,investment Is All About Risk.the Price Of Longman Plc Is Somewhere N27 ,who Says Onward Cannot Get Considering The Fact Same And Longman Are Our Foremost Printing Mills

Abeg, help us break down this Onward PP as per analysis.

I think the first step would be for one person who has sent Expression of Interest to the indicated people and obtained a PP Memorandum to post the memorandum on this thread for us all to see and analyse. It does not make much sense to be analysing 20% "commission" or whatever in isolation, without being simultaneoulsy acquainted with the PP memorandum.

whao! Goin by peer comparison (longman, univ press), the pricing isn't bad. but then other factors like issued shares, prior results, mgmt team wd matter also. But surely the required minimum is a bit on d high side (N975k)
But a full prospectus wd aid valuation

Just spoke with someone from Lead. Don't really know if they have a prospec tus. I have not really read this thing but it sounds confusing. Is it like that MTN pp.
He was saying listing might happen late this year. I no understand

Spoke with the LeadCapital guys; they promised to send the main PP document yesterday; nothing as of COB today. Do they really have a prepared document?

L&G,
My tots exactly.
Lead is trying to hedge their investment in Onward.
They are trying to creat a win win situation for their investment, stock does well they clean out, stock does bad, they clean us out.
They want to operate a mutual fund of sorts, like eating their cake and having it.
They are playing on the mkt liquidity and know that, Onward has a recognisable brand name and will win investors.
See the size of the offer, less that 100mill, a group of money bags can close this b/w them selves.
My take, this invetsmnet is risky and smells of masive oversubscription at close. This is exactly what they want and they roll to the banks with fats cheeks fed by our money.
Lets see the PP docs and we will see more.
People, kool 'o down o!

NB: I pledge to keep up the hunt for value PP. I appreciate the complements.

Got an invitation from Lead Capital by email. asked them for the expression of interest form and this is the reply i got

Dear Sir,
All that is required is for you to send an application stating your required units and amount and an interest form and memorandum will be forwarded to you.
We await your prompt response.

The price on Longman and have nothing in common. On the floor, don't we have banks ranging from 10 to 50?

No be say I dey yab you o! I know the game Lead is playing; they'll buy the shares in some coded big-boys-only PP, then cross them to you and I the moment the shares are listed. They take 20% of the price diff for their "troubles". Rubbish. Do we even know if Lead is even buying the shares from Onward at 6.50? Don't let the price on Logman fool you. Only with a prospectus can we even start to guess at the instrinsic value of Onward.

Anyway, let's wait to see the prospectus to see if 6.50 is a good price or not. I have asked them too (I'm a Lead customer) and all they said was I should state the # of shares I want. Without seeing a prospectus? Cheeky!So many good PPs coming this year but they are all so coded!
