fed express got red star in NIG, DHL IS DHL EVERYWHERE, but it is not impossible that TNT nig is a complete unit on it own. we all need to do is to be carefull and not just enter every PP because it is PP |

TNT (Transnationwide Express) is already quoted on the NSE. They are expected to be doing a RIGHTS issue and not a PP. Will be surprised about any PP. |

Som'n doesn' add up. They are both into courier with similar names and are different? Is one a subsidiary? By the way, I had always thought that the one by Gbagada is the courier TNT from way back?

TNT/IAS
IAS is an indigenous company that has been in courier and cargo business over last the 20 years. It once operated as both courier and freight forwarding organization out of Lagos and London. TNT/IAS linkage is like a corresponding relationship that local banks have with other foreign banks for the purposes of remittance; in this case forwarding of courier and cargo overseas. It will be interesting to see what the prospectus will look like and I would suggest we give it a critical analysis especially now that there are enough PP to go round. Joe |

Guys,
The same relationship IAS has with TNT is similar to what red star has with Fedex. In other words, it is IAS that is doing the PP. (you will be buying into TNT's business in Nigeria and not TNT global). IAS has an agreemnt or more like an affiliation of TNT in Nigeria. just like what these advertising agencies do. It works this way, if IAS has any material that is leaving the country, they ship it through TNT for a fee which has been agreed btw them. Hope i didn't confuse you guys the more |
