Please Have Any One In The House Heard About Leadstone Company? I Learnt They Are Offering Pp Of 0.50 Each At O.95 Per Share. The Broker I Saw With The Prospectus Have Inly One, He Said The Prospectus Was Not Much That Only Brokers Were Those Seen With It At My Side. The Minimum To Be Applied For According To The Prospectus Is 20,000, Which Yield To The Total Amount Of 19,000. Thanx

see if you can photocopy the important pages and upload on the site. Every information you need on the company should be contained in the prospectus.

When something becomes common, it becomes a normal thing. A new idea or venture, everybody runnings in that direction until one can not seperate the sincerer ones from the fake ones. Just because some few companies came out with pp and made a success story out of it has now opened the door for all to have a go. The idea of pp is good and am not against it but its now been a messed up.

Thanks Dynasty More grace to you, you are simply playing your path as member. all informations are important but if can get more information about what the company does which should be in the prospectus will also be helpful.

One of the drivers for the rapid movement os stocks on the NSE is the fact that there was too much money chasing few stocks, now it seems with all the recent and planned listings, it will soon become a case of too much stocks available for fewwer money(s).
I suspect the era of unsupported price rise is comming to an end if not ended. I think we need to begin to preach more strongly the message of investing fundamentally, let our buy decision be based significantly on fundamental reason at least 50%.
Though i enjoy reading all the new PP postings.

i agree with you. just wait for all this stockbroking companies (which i project to be more than 50) & these other firms to be listed then you may have too much stocks chasing few cash, unless we are bailed out by FDI & the DANGOTE"S of this world. Bluemoney couldnt have been more correct in his analysis. Me I want to invest in a wesite design company bcause one thing i have noticed is that companies that have never deemed it fit to have a website are all rushing to design beautiful web pages to make a good virtual impression of their business when many of them are just baba shops, kiosks and the worst thing is the management pedigree. This is important in all this PPs . look at the management criticaly and the way they are thinking,its very important.!

The truth really is that in the last 3 years, we have seen some restructuring in the financial sector. We had the banking sector in 2004/2005, Insurance in 2006/2007 and you must agree with free that this brought a lot of these companies to the stock market (even those that weren't contemplating it before). You will also agree with me that anyone that bought big time into any of the good companies in each any of these sector at the early stage has made a fortune.
I think this is the time for stockbroking firms. I missed out of the insurance era bcos of my lack of faith in that sector and now i know better.
This is not a recommendation to buy any stpockbroking firm stock that comes your way but i think this era provides an opportunity that you shouldn't miss.

I wonder what this very pp will turn out to be after all. I was oportuned to see the application form. What made me no longer intrested on buying into it is that it contain no isueing houses, not even one. So my fellow investors, my only advice here is that you should shine your eyes well if you come across it.many thanks.

my guy issuing house is not much of a problem in PPs, wat is essential is the viability of the coy doing PP, will it thrive? pls still see if you can get d prospectus uploaded, let's have a look and decide, long live the house of common stocks.......

Issuing house is very important bcos these are the guys that are going to see to it that all the hurdles are crossed for the comapny to meet the listing requirements for the stocks to be listed on the exchange. It also gives a level of credibility to the offer.
That one of the reasons Cashcraft and Union diagnostics are having issues bcos Cashcraft is not experienced as an issuing house. Also, you will notice that most of the PPs handled by IBTC are usually juicy bcos IBTC are selective in the PPs they package.
Summary, Issuing house is very important. Infact, it was one of the reasons i didn't subscribe to the Union diagnostics stuff. Don't want to be involved with anything concerning cashcraft.

I support the view that issuing houses are important, particularly their credibility. I do not think IBTC or FBN Capital would sponsor a sham PP or PP that has a little chance of success or that is a devise for swindling subscribers. They have their names to protect and would not want to compromise certain standards.

I agree with you that an issuing house packaging a PP is important but if we are waiting for PP packaged by these big names, i assure you, we cant buy anything. even if we buy, you will find out the oversubscription problem will be there and money returned. one of the reasons union diagonistic did not return money was because cashcraft was still trying to create a name (CREDIBILITY) for themselves. (APART FROM THE FACT THAT THE COMPANY NEED THE MONEY FOR EXPANSION) i believe if it was one of these big names that packaged the union diagonistic PP, one of two things would have happened. 1-- only thier people will have full in-house allotment ----ask IBTC what they did with REDSTAR. 2--there is a 80-90% chance that money will be returned----ask PARTNERSHIP, why they decided to give to about 872 subcribers 100% allotment when the PP was still open just becuase they bought directly from them. I know people that bought that PP outside lagos because it was packaged by UBA GLOBAL, FBN & ESL (BIG NAMES). i wonder what thier fate is since they didnt buy directly. so my point is this : in as much as the issuing house is important, we should not shy away from the NEW ISSUING HOUSES because by my projection there will be many new issuing houses that will spring up after this ongoing recapitalisation. many of them without credibility or experience so some people wont buy PP packaged by them. But i assure you, that is where you can & will make a killing. Because the man with experience & credibility today was not born with it, it took that man time. so when this new issuing house comes to the market again, EVERYBODY wants to patronize them.(THAT IS HOW UBA GLOBAL, FBN & ESL & THE OTHER BIG BOYS GOT THIER CREDIBILITY).

Thanks for the detailed information provided on this company. This forum enables us all to share information and also express our opinion.

I have a had a look at the memorandum and it seems certain things are not there:

i. I didn't see anything on the management profile
ii. It seems there is no financial institution packaging this. No list of bankers etc.
iii. There is no historical financial performance (to show track record)

I am not impressed with the quality of brochure/memorandum

Another point worthy of note is the fact that they intend setting up a new stockbroking firm. We have over 90 of them in the market already. Is this a good business model to pursue at this time?

Considering and comparing this to other offers in the market, I will personally not be investing.

Leadstone is not even a Member of Nigeria Stock Exchange (NSE) i.e. they cannot directly deal on the floor of the NSE. They are also not on the list of registered capital market operators certified by Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Check link Current List of Capital Market Operators
