Capital Trust Brokers Ltd Private Placement

This company has started a private placement @one naira per 50k share. I just returned from Nigeria on holiday. This is one of the brokers i have used regularly, i have subscibed to the minimum of one million units allowed.
I am waiting for the electronic version of the prospectus, i will upload it for all to critic.
There address is 4th Floor, Unity House, 37 Marina, Lagos. (Next to Union Bank Stallion House/tower.

I have read the hard copy, they promised to have the e-version on their website :capitaltrustbrokers.com

I believe they are restricting it, but I spoke to the MD who said they will deal with non clients on first come first serve basis.

Thanks for the information above. I have few questions which if you answer will guide my thoughts and those of others:

i. Why did you invest in this company?

Was it because of the price - which is the same thing as that of Golden securities?

Was it because you see this sector as the next big thing in the market?

Kindly let us know because your trip to Nigeria would have been an eye opener.

ii. Did you have a discussion with the MD as regards the regulatory hurdle (if they ever said they will list)?

Your answers will no doubt be appreciated.

Thanks for this posting.
What you will help us do is to get the electronic copy of the prospectus and post for all to read and evaluate the data provided.

For me that is the only basis of any decision: - To Buy or not to Buy.
I await the prospectus.
Till then, I will sidon de look .....

They plan to list on the NSE as soon as they meet all regulatory requirements according to the MD and the Prospectus. I will post the offer document as soon as i get the e-version later this week. If i am not wrong, i calculated their year 2007 ending Dec 31st PE to be 15.6.

The PP info was not suppose to be on thier website. they may want to avoid oversubcription. we are waiting for TTOLADELE to upload the prospectus for analysis. cheers

If this is true, as i guess it might, then it'd appear ppl are now using this forum to market their offers in disguise (which wd be an integrity issue).

The truth is that i am their customer, i was recently in Nigeria on holiday, and has returned to UK. I was actually unable to access this forum during the holiday becuase i forgot my password, otherwise i might have been able to alert fellow investors on this forum about this private placement, hence trigger intelligent analysis.

I am not an arrogant person by nature, but i cannot accept this unbriddled false accusation without a robust response to this honourable forum. Abuse/character assasination is not the essence of intelligent interaction on this forum, it childish indeed.

Tanx a lot for your response, Dr Oladele, truth is you cant entirely blame Ahmed as the investment environment is continually being filled with individuals of questionable xter hence the need to be extremely cautious.

I suspect there is a mix up here.

There is no need trying to prove anything. Mammyahmed actually saw one Oladele in the document and maybe thought you were the one.

I am sure it was not meant to assasinate your character as this is not the purpose of the forum.

Mr Taiwo, is that a good way to explain things. For me, not am against it but when I sent someone to their office yesterday with the paper I printed out for him to ask of Mrs Omotosho. When he came back he said the he met said he should have ask Taiwo Oladele instead of ask of Mrs Omotosho and both of them has gone out. That why I said you are one of their staff. Whatz wrong with it if you are one their staff. Afterall is just show it you love the company you are working
