Just got a copy of the pp memo from skye bank office-Akin Adesola.

Their forecasts seem pretty unrealistic plus they passed a resolution declaring a bonus of 140 ordinary shares each for every three shares held as at may 9, 2008.

NB - Well, this is not unusual as companies tend to dilute the shares in issue to sale at a seemingly low price on the exchange and improve volatility of the stock once listed. But then, a bonus of like 47 : 1, damn...

IHS Nigeria Limited to raise N7.7bn by Private Placement

Skye Financial Services Limited (“Skye Financial”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Skye Bank Plc, has been appointed as the Issuing House to IHS Nigeria Limited (“IHS”).
By this appointment, they have been mandated to raise funds for IHS by way of Private Placement to finance its expansion programme.

Skye Financial therefore undertake to raise the sum of N7.7billion as equity by way of Private Placement Offer of 1,540,000,000 Ordinary Shares of 50 kobo each at N5 per share.


The financial projections underlying the Offer indicate that the Company’s operations will yield a healthy annual profit margin of N2.8billion, N5.5billion, N6.4billion, N6.9billion and N7.6illion for the years ending 30th April 2009-2013 respectively. In the same vein, the strong positive cash flow to be generated would be sufficient to recoup the initial investment at an attractive rate to investors, pay attractive dividends to shareholders and enable the company to meet its debt repayment obligations to creditors.



The benefits accruable to any investor in the Offer are as highlighted below:



¨ High dividend payout (from 11kobo to 43kobo)

¨ High growth in Earnings Per Share from 53kobo to N1.42

¨ Potential for high capital appreciation (after listing on the Nigerian Stock Exchange)

i also see this misstatement, it's wrong, it's supposed to be #5,000,000 not #2,500,000.

I am confused. Some say 1m is the minimum you say 100k. Please who is very sure and have confirmed?

I think Newton has clarified it since he is in possession of a prospectus. Go with =N=500,000 minimum.
