I looked thru the new listings section of sec website and noted that this company is planning an IPO. Spoke wt a friend @ ARM who confirmed that the offer shd start asap. price is set @ #4.17k no min yet. Issuing house is vetiva/Diamond bank.

i just checked the link u provided, and i'll like to ask this, the new issues under processing when likely are they expected to be out, or to put it this way, when issues are under proccesssing how long does it take?

Well, this wd depend on the issuers as they are free to set the dates once they've received approval from sec. But based on current trends it should take more than a month b4 this offer rolls out...

i may be wrong, but when this one eventually comes out, there will be returned money at the end of the day.

I don't think it's an IPO, don't forget you can only raise money from the market one year after you have listed.
Secondly for companies like this, they would always sell at a high PE because of the name.

am sure you know that there is a rule that you cant float an IPO except you are listed atleast for one year.

so that can be the reason they are doing the PP, inshort they need money, so PP or IPO to the company is the same as far as it will translate to capital to do business.

well, considering the fact that when they are ready to be listed, it will be at the same price they sold the PP, so we might not see huge patronage, and i guess thats why they want to do a small volume requirement of 25000 unit
