Equitrak Credit Bureau Private Placement

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know if the Equitrak Consumer Credit Bureau Private Placement has started.

I was priviledged to read a write up at skye bank about them. They seemed to be ready to give Credit Registry a run for thier money. They are in partnership with a South African Credit Bureau and have some weights behind them. I hear Onosode is the Chairman. This guarantees they have people like Zain signing up with them.

According to the write up they should be coming to the market soon. Please if you have any information about them kindly send me a mail at segun.lewis@yahoo.com or drop me a line hear.

This is a sure buy for me. I have been waiting for something like this. The write up was very solid, they seem to have done a good ground work. I hope they will be cheaper than Credit Registry

I finally got some information about Equitrak. they are having a forum for potential investors on the 30th of october at Eko Hotel.

I received this IV by email. I have attached it.

This does sound like a good one. Anyway u must have attended the forum of investors. Could u give me a breakdown or conclusion of meeting from that day. Wether this will ultimately be a good buy or not also, wether they have commenced business already. Thanks

Well, this might just be a good one. Given the track record of Dr Gamaliel Onosode, maybe this is a PP that might be worth it after all. Lemme take a look...

They have just 667 million shares of N1 each at N3 per share. The forecast shows a negative earnings (loss) for 2009 but will turn to profitability from 2010 with a PE of 3. It is definitely a long term stock that has potentials to generate wealth. Their capital structure from the forecast shows that they are going to run the company more on bonds than stocks, which is going to cost less to them from the tax shield provided. I believe that this is a good company to invest in for the long term, if you have some spare money you can close your eyes to for the next two to three years, then this is a definite buy.

Where did you get these your numbers from? If you have a copy of the PP memo, can you please post it here?

I downloaded the file from their website. It is a large file and it is beyond the limit that my internet connection will allow me to upload. Here is the link:

Thanks...but I think there are one or two other credit bureaus that started recently. I know I got an invite from IBTC about 1 year ago or so to participate in a PP for one bureau. I declined of course. When IBTC underwrite an attractive PP, they will not invite me

On second thought i was thinking if this group could team up with let say CHAMS and work together so that at least each Nigerian can have a form of identification, it will go a long way in solving a lot of our problems. is it not a shame that we dont know how many people we are? it will greatly reduce the case of identity fraud and we would not have to ask you what your age is as that can found out. we wont have a situation where people will have 4 - 10 international passports and we wont have people been born from 1970 to 1983 depending on the one that is suitable in order to be given a job in shell, chevron or mobil .
they could work with Government and introduce a unique identification number where you can be tracked to any activity
just my thought though

The politicians are not interested. It will scatter their plans. There will no more be anything like ghost workers. Rigging will be reduced. Ghost pensioners will be discovered. That's why the Naitional ID project is not able to see the light of the day.
