I've been monitoring this forum for a while from the US and I'm impressed. I finally decided to go ahead and join, and I found the post in Nigerian Stock Market Tips about a suspension of activity! I hope this forum is in for the long haul. Since regular members may not even be looking there now, I've re-submitted the thread in this forum, since it is more in line with my direct interests.
I had hoped for some direction from members regarding legitimate brokers and advisors, since I had wanted to pursue possible relationships. I am a US citizen, and frankly, if my peers knew the direction I'm taking here, they'd shun me and probably want to have me committed to an asylum. The thing is, I respect what you're trying to do. Regardless of the fact that an undesirable element has hijacked a portion of your marketplace, in turn casting a specter of distrust on virtually all financial dealings with Nigeria in "traditional" US business circles, I believe you deserve recognition and inclusion. Bad news is always deemed more newsworthy than good news. Just how viable is the concept of placing a significant Nigerian-based investment in a US business proposal? |

hey,
just read your post on the forum. are you a foreign national or a nigerian american? its not like this matters when investing in the country, but if you are an investor then my advice is that you really need to look inwards to see the oppurtunities inherent in this developing economy of ours. i don't think your citizenship status matters as so many of us also have dual citizenships of the united states and united kingdom. Any emerging economy is the delight of seasoned investors.if you have any meaningful contribution to make to our little forum, you are very welcome. cheers. goodluck. |

The guy is very welcome to invest in our markets, it is very lucrative as compared to the US market where the subprime issue is wrecking havoc in the markets.
We have a developing economy right here and we have only one place to go - up. |

Yes, I agree with others. Nigeria is a greenland for opportunities for international investors. Many assets managers are rushing down now. So, it depends on u on which type of investment u want. I am assuring u that u will now regret investing in the economy and also note that bad Nigerians are less than 1% OF OUR POPULATION.
Cheers!!! |
