My point is that as entreprenuers we need to have a working relationship with our brokers. Come to think of it someone that is incharge of your portfolio while you are attending to other business, And you felt that he taking around 4.1% cummulatively on each deal you made is a rip-off?? Well as for me whenever im in town both my broker and his staff feels my impact. Those are some of the little things keeps ones portfolio green..

I also try my best to make my broker and the staff enjoy my presence but i guess that was not enough for them. I also noticed when my uncle pulled all his fund from the broking firm, thats when i knew something went wrong. I guess he wanted me to discover it by myself. My dads experience with his own brokers is even worst, and trust me my dad makes father christmas to look like a learner.

Look around, so many people are now complaining about being charged excessively by their broker, thats enough to let you know that something is wrong somewhere.

My current broker buys at the best market price and charges me moderately and my portfolio is green. So i dont understand why the extra charges. Any ways, any broker that thinks he can over charge me again by even a fraction should be ready to face the outcome.

I want to jump into this train of share. Having done my research, am considering three brokers to open an account with. Morgan capital group, lead securities and chapel hill denham. I love morgan for many reasons but I still need more info about them. any idea?

Dear Forum Members,

I made a promise in February that we would be launching a real-time trading platform later in the year. I am happy to inform you that after rigorous testing with the NSE, it was switched-on today to ALL our clients, at no additional cost, and at the 0.25% brokerage fee I promised you that won’t change (but could get better!). If any member of this forum is our client, I would appreciate feedback/criticisms (both public & private) after using it for 2days. I assure you that it is world-class and you would not find any near it on the market for now, and in the months to come. I am sure about this.

I promise again, that something more is coming, soon, that would make you ALL very happy and proud that all these are happening in Nigeria, by a company based in Nigeria, poised to take on the globe. Just stay tuned and continue to pray for us.

Thank you!

BGL needs to learn innovation and think outside the box...rather rushing to buy high and sell low.

I have been trading on Meritrade online platform for a long time now, they even have apps for smart phones and Ipads so Morgan capital has to catch up not that they are the first broking firm in Nigeria to offer online trading. Most of the time my little girl input the order for me that tells you how simple it is to place orders on their platform.

This Trade Real-time of Morgan is different frm the one u taut. It is different frm placing order online which have to be forwarded by ur broker to the exchange. In this new portal dat morgan jst introduce, u can trade directly on the floor of d exchange. Infact, u can execute order urself and get it done within a min. A friend of mine tried it today and d order was successful within 32 seconds. No more story dat ur broker bought a price too high or sold it too low.

Some investment houses will match or offer a better rate compared to banks

Oga Ago, your online account opening or registration page has collected my details about 5 times now an no response. I even filled the form again to day and sent a mail to your official email. I am still expecting a reply. Hope this is not the Nigerian mentality of doing business creeping in her ooo. Anyhow I would like u to kindly assist in opening an account so I can test this your new online trading platform. Regards

Good a.m, all. Please i need a good stockbroker that has an office in port harcourt and also a good online presence apart from CSL, CASHCRAFT, EUROCOMM and CITYCODE. Their minimum account opening should be at most 500k, thanks.
