CSL Registrars will not accept this method you stated. They will tell you to liaise with your broker to attach evidence of purchase of the stock, banker's confirmation,a filled transferee/transferor form(to be used by your broker) and plus time wasting.

Not entirely true sir. Or was I lucky?. I recently did e-dividend for my Skye and FCMB share. I submitted bankers confirmation and the e-dividend form; and it sailed through.

It will sail through IF they already have your specimen signature in their system.

I think this issue is either Registrar dependent or there has been some changes recently. Just this year I gave authority to my Brokers to collect my dividend Cheque whose amount was too large for the Registrar to mail. They rejected the authority on grounds that they did not have my signature. They asked me to fill their edividend form and submit along with a banker's confirmation of my signature, a copy of my identification and an authority letter for them to pay. Both the banker's confirmation and edividend forms had to have my picture stamped on by the bank. I did that and they told me that they will have to send the banker's confirmation to be verified at the headquarters of the bank, and that it will take two weeks for them to get it back. They credited my money about one week after the two weeks deadline. I never went to my broker again but worked only with the registrar.

My signature wasn't on their system. I had to get bankers confirmation for that.

The best way is to sign many transfer forms with the stockbroker as earlier suggested by Bra Wanajo and each time one buys a new stock on the secondary market, you insist that the brokers files the allotment with the CSCS for onward filing with the Registrars, so the registrar has a record of the PURCHASE. There will not be any excuses from the registrars on future matters of unpaid dividend or e-dividend, PROVIDED your original transfer form signature is REGULAR.

However, it is advisable that the broker lodges as many transfer forms for each purchase so that the registrar has the chance of comparing the signatures.

Your broker must have submitted the TF with CSCS earlier. I think the idea of the bankers confirmation is to indemnify themselves.

For instance, most registrars accept letter of authority sent thru third parties and e-dividend mandate without passport photos, but First Registrars will not accept any of this, .....Nigerians done show dem well, well.

JOIN MORGAN CAPITAL SECURITIES TO BOOST INVESTORS' CONFIDENCE.

l strongly believe that we are not advertising companies but remember that Morgan capital is not charging us at for the services they are rendering to us apart from the yearly charge .Am comparing them with the former dishonest broker l was using before l discovered Morgan capital. l used to lose minimum of #3,000 on each stock mandate my broker executes for me either buy or sell all in the name of broker's charge which the % charge is not defined.l don't know about you.
Since Morgan capital makes less or non profit from us , l feel we should encourage them by introducing more clients in order to maintain the company and render better services to clients.l feel so happy of being in control of my account and hope it has come to stay and to cause a transformation among stockbrokers and boost confidence of investors.

Oga, it is fairer to compare broker charges in %ages and not absolute figures. Maybe your former broker was consistently charging you #3000+ 'cos your orders consistently runs into '00s of thousands? We don't know!

Sir,
l wish to inform u that am not a Nigerian politician that say another thing and do a different thing or a new trader with this broker. l have being with this broker for more than 12 years. Am talking about a stockbroker l have walked to their office several times to argue with their accounts and managers with my laptop for unfair % charges on some of my transactions which some of them were corrected, to be honest with you there are many things about them l can not disclose on this forum but what am saying is that new traders should be careful when choosing a broker and invest their hard earned money through a liable broker that gives you 100% access to control your account, honest and with great vision, that's MORGAN CAPITAL SECURITIES. We speak of what we know and we bear witness of what we have seen .

@Cliq, Am neither a staff of morgan capital nor a contracted personnel to advertise morgan capital securities rather an independent investor with some ugly experience in the hands of some nigerian dishonest stockbrokers. Please exercise little patience, they will attend to you, But l prefer going to their office for proper signing and documentation . l spoke with one of the senior staffs of morgan capital 2 days ago after holding their meeting and he assured me that they are working on their system and will improve on their services shortly. lt is better not to have a sheep than to have many sheep and make lions and leopards your shepherd. Am only here to help new investors by directing them to the reliable broker l have tested .
