The level UBN will rise to will depend entirely on the ratio of bonus they will announce if they do, or on the dividend per share.

I have already ask my Broker to buy me Union Bank. The rumour of Bonus is going to drive the share price very high. The rumour have started let see what ratio they can give.

I have been following the price performance of union bank stocks for some time and come to the conclusion that though this bank is old and very rusty in terms of excellent customer service, ICT technology, staff training and retraining, and all overall flexibility, but the bank is strong fundamentally, we can buy and wait on the ratios, but the bank must have to declare relatively little dividends, reason, they will spend more of their profits on improvements and change of outdated equipments. We can only watch and see.

I have not heard that the company has announced any results for the full year, so untill they do, the register will not be closed.

all we heard is proposed 1for4, i never expected this delay, i guess thats why the price is going down, but as a focus investor we both know that UBN will deliver at last.

I just hope some people that knows banking will take over this bank and bring forth the huge value in the bank. The aged "bankers" presently at the helm of affairs in the bank are just time wasters.

they intend to raise capitalthrough a placing process to an investor with multinationalbanking experince, lets see what comes out of that.
the investor will but not more than 30%,that means he can buy upto 30% in that case he willcontribute immersely to management affairs, so i think

Question

A bit curious. Does it mean UBN intends to raise all the new capital via a single placement with this investor or they will in addition approach the market...?

Just heard this news and decided to share it with the house, but i don't know how through it is.Just heard that it is Barclays bank that was to do the placing process of 30%

If someone can also verify that would be good.

Placement???

I think Barclays will simply acquire a stake of up to a max of 30% in the bank...and then include Union Bank in existing equity funds....

Enjoy.

Taking into consideration the peers of UBN which is FBN as an example, why is it taking so long for UBN to decare the results since march this year.

Or is the result so difficult to prepare? Talk of competence in management, this bank is really lagging behind. Is the result bad and they are afraid to announce it?
