Thanks Gengen.
For now, this site has one administrator(me), and two moderators. The moderators responsibility is mainly removing objectinable content from the site, and ensuring users do not breach our Terms and Coditions of use. As admin, I am mainly involved in the technical side of running the website - that is, the IT work involved. etc For now, the other membership levels are automatically alloted by the system based on the frequency of posting. I hope that helps in answering your questions. |

Hi,
Each time I try to log in to this site, I get a web page with AfricanCapitalMarkets.com content overlaid on top! I can not therefore read unless i scroll down and that is if the page is longer than the content from AfricanCapitalMarkets.com. I have tried both ie and firefox, same problem. Can you do something about this? |

I did not know of this thread until someone posted recently and I've not been able to go over all the suggestions. Others may have already captured this but just in case. 1. Threads can quickly become buried here if there is no post within the last day. The feature to search post in the last 1 day is awesome. I'd also like to see a feature that allows searching the forum for all posts in the last week for instance. This way if I'm away for a week I can have a good picture of what happen in that time. Not just posts from today. I know you can search by topics but how will find this thread for instance by searching or the thread on mistakes on the NSe in 2 months time? 2. This can be a networking site. Why not? More attention to the profile of members....and what about uploading user photos...???

Haba...Livestock?????? Please don't go there at all (I know the price of the stock is rising right now but that is Naija for you) You will get many suggestions but you cannot just take these and go and buy stocks. The idea here is not to substitute for a financial adviser but to stimulate the interest in identifying value stocks using your own analysis. It is your best bet. I understand the feeling of having money and not being able to invest immediately. You feel you are missing on profit. Be rest assured that this is not true unless you have a definite scoop. Always take your time to analyze before you buy. That stock you are chasing for N10 Naira today may be N9 by next week and the reverse happens too. It is however, better to know you have bought a stock which has value based on your analysis. I can give you a list of stocks but I will advice you go back and analyze these stocks also on your own or discuss with others. I feel these are good options right now but you have to be convinced. Please note that the prices at which you take position is very important. For all the stocks I am recommending from the floor I will buy at around 5% less than the closing prices from yesterday/today. 1. FCMB from PO 2. Bank PHB (Very likely from PO but wait for prospectus) 3. Costain (Very likely from PO but wait for prospectus) 4. Flour Mills 5. Wapco 6. Crusader 7. Mbenefit 8. Diamond Bank 9. Lawunion 10. Guinness 11. CILeasing If you don't back up any decision you take with a research of your own, you will not be helping yourself. This is based on my own analysis and someone can look through this list and say, hey, this particular stock should not make the list, you did not take so and so into consideration. So, I beg, due dilligence. There is already a thread for what you are asking. Shares To Buy Now You can go there and share you own analysis and others can debate with you. If you see my post on this thread you will see I also complained about how things can get buried here too. For now the best option is the search functionality. You can choose to analyze one stock at a time and search on this site for commments and analysis on the stock and see if there is agreement with your own analysis. It is a big task to try and keep abreast of all stocks in the market. It will be too much for you unless you want to be buying on the advice of others. It is never a burden to look for information that will save you from losing money. You have to do whatever it takes. Many folks that share useful information with us on this site also have to go through the burden of finding relevant information and even taking the additional steps of analyzing this information. It is hard work but I won't call it a burden because it can be a win-win situation... ![]()

Is it possible to indicate one gender anywhere on this forum? There are these confusion of people assuming that a forum member is a man or woman and addressing them either using He of She. Just a suggestion, if it is possible, I will like having it under each member's name as some of the forum member bears unisex name which made it difficult to identify them and address them properly. Thanks |

Hello EIC,
I'm not too conversant with how the site works being relatively a newbie in this area but I must commend your effort in organising such a medium for a good cause more or less since it lets people (the gurus and otherwise) explore such opportunities that they find beneficial in life..... Investments. . Well done for all your good work.My attention was caught by some posts which are obviously scam posts and I could not help but wonder if there are no moderators for the site who may from time to time oversee that some of these posts are expunged from the public eye before untold harm are done to some of us who may be so naive and so trusting..... Thus they supervise the posts and ensure as much as possible only genuine post are open to the public. Hoping some attention could be given to this. |
