Hello Moderator,

I appreciate you effort at this forum. For your information, nigerians abroad always visit this site for the latest news on nigeria stock market.

My suggestion is that there should be a section or thread where new or latest IPO or PO are always published as were as the start/closing date of such offer. Kindly consider this and act on it because I for example will always want to know which company(ies) is offering its share for the public to buy. If there is a section for this already, let me know.

However, we realize that as it is, that page is not easy for users of our website to find. We are working on redesigning our IPO page.

there appears to be no section dedicated to sharing sources/documents relevant for stock investing. And I mean documents available in the public domain. If there could be a such a section, we should be able to share links to informative documents. An example of one such document is this:

We dont have Live Chat unfortunately, but we do have private messages. To send a private message to a user on the forum, click on their username and then click on the "Send a private message to user" in the user contact info section. Whenever the users logs on to the forum, they will see your private message in their inbox. You can also use this to have a fairly real-time private conversation with users who are currently logged on.

If you would like other forum users to contact you via Instant Messages (Yahoo messenger, MSN messenger etc), you can edit your profile on http://www.stockmarketnigeria.com/forums/usercp.php and insert details about your yahoo or msn id.

Can I suggest you have a popup window that tells people to please look for topics of interest in the threads before they start a new one when they log on.

I find out that we are discussing the same issue on about 4 -5 different threads at the same time. E.g First bank and access bank.

We can only get the best out of this forum if all efforts are concentrated.

1. We intend to create specific sub forums for different stocks. For example, a subforum for firstbank, NASCON, GTB etc. That way all the threads about that stock can be moved to that forum and be easier to find.

2. We would put a notice asking people to search about the topic before starting a thread.

But these measure will take us sometime to implement, so please bear with us.

We provide the scrolling stock price feed from africancapitalmarkets.com on the forum. Yes, this may or may not be real time.

I am afraid that is all we have the resources to do at the moment. We will be glad to put a prominent link on our page to websites that provide real time quotes, or daily stock prices.

Cross-linking on the internet. Spread the word. The more the merrier. Insert your referral ID anywhere you go especially those that do not have personal websites. Also you can insert it as a signature in your regular email. To do that, click on this link and it will take you to the page where you copy your own unique ID. Then copy it and paste in your signature section in your emails. If your browser supports html, you can even insert it as html. That will make it clickable and as you foward those jokes and pieces of information, our forum goes with you. EIC could you make banners and embedded html that we can put in various places that we visit on the net? I am sure with just a little effort on our parts, this forum will swell to unbelieveable numbers and have rich information for all of us to benefit from.

Also post information about this forum on other forums that you are active in, even groups in yahoo, msn and google. Things grow very fast in cyberworld. If our efforts are consistent, believe it or not, our search engine ratings will shoot up and our numbers will swell, so will the ideas in this forum.

1. I appreciate the reviews done by Mr Ogbuotobo Chuks on the home page, they are very informative and current, however, and with due respect, is there a way we can have reviews from other editorial members of your team?I mean its not bad to have a bit of flavour to what we read, i.e not just from one person.

2. Pardon my ignorance if this exists, but is there a way you can add a " how to use this site" icon on the home page, because for me it was a 'hit and miss' experience. For instance someone responding to an individual remark or contribution, may find himself starting a new thread, or replying to the existing thread.

3. Im just curious, but how do you fund this site? and is there any provision for advertisements?

I recieve daily trading reports from a number of Nigerian Stockbrokerage firms. Would we be breaching copyright if we have an email address where I can foward it to in this forum?
Another thing I want to ask is for us to be able to recieve RSS of threads we are interested in. If there is an RSS button on every thread page it will be a great idea.
